SCOTUS Denies Cert in Online Student Speech Case, but Dispute Not Over Yet

The U.S. Supreme Court denied certiorari today in Doninger v. Niehoff, one of the online student speech cases discussed previously on this blog in a Circuit Split Watch post.

The two other cases discussed in the post, now consolidated as Blue Mountain School District v. J.S., are still pending before the Court. The University of Virginia Law School's Supreme Court Litigation Clinic represents the petitioners (school districts and officials). Professor James Ryan, a former Rehnquist clerk, is the counsel of record. SCOTUSblog's case page is here.
